Hey, Santa

You know how you see all those nice photos of babies sitting on Santa's plush lap, giggling and smiling and waving their arms, cheeks rosy, eyes twinkling? Those pictures are boring. Everyone has those pictures. I'm not a follower, I like to blaze my own trail. Call me artsy. I like to be different and start trends. I'm really cool like that. Now that you've been armed with all this information, you won't be surprised to see this picture of Mads with Santa:

Alright, I'm a liar. The truth is, I really wanted that picture, the one with the smiling, rosy cheeked babe, the picture of the baby that is just so happy to be seeing Santa for the first time. What I got though, was the choice between seven pictures. This was the first one. The other six showed a rosy cheeked baby, but her face was distorted in a grimace of absolute terror. My baby was the screamer. Santa's elf shoved a frog puppet in her face, jingled Santa's bells in her hand, and blew bubbles at her head for an incredibly long five minutes. Nothing. Just many tears and a couple whimpers.

I wanted to buy the one of her screaming her head off, now that would have been artsy, but Jeffrey was just not interested. He wants to try again, but I actually like this picture. At least her bow is super cute.
